We are excited to partner with a deeply relational and impactful organization during the month of October- Friends of the Carpenter (FOC)!

This organization is our October Referral Rewards partner, which means that $25 will be donated to Friends of the Carpenter for every referral our agency receives. FOC is a local, faith-based non-profit in Vancouver. Its mission is to provide a safe and structured environment for vulnerable members of the community. They open their doors Monday through Friday of each week to anyone who would like to spend time at their day facility, aptly named the“Friendship Center.” FOC began with the simple vision of increasing a sense of welcome and increased interaction between the church and the poor. This ministry envisions a place where “people of all circumstances are accepted, honored and appreciated in our community, and are empowered to live life with dignity, hope and love.” This honorable organization uses the tangible activity of woodworking to form and strengthen relationships, a sense of purpose and a contribution to the community as people come together to work around a table.

FOC makes numerous creative wood products each day during their woodworking events and activities. Items such as crosses, home and office, outdoor, appreciation gifts and seasonal products are sold to help fund this organization. They are also available to take on special products like bunk beds, devotional furniture, tables and more! By supporting this non-profit through purchasing their products, FOC is able to provide vulnerable people in our community with dignity and a purpose. Their main focus, however, is the lasting relationships that are formed in the process. FOC works to change lives with love and help those through difficult times by providing them with the resources necessary to get back on track.
