This month, Davidson & Associates Insurance is excited to be partnering with a compassionate, caring and community driven local non-profit- Free Clinic of Southwest Washington! Free Clinic of Southwest Washington was founded in 1990 help serve those who are uninsured and under insured in our area. This organization helps keep people out of the emergency room by providing free, quality, basic healthcare on a walk-in basis along with dental, vision and specialty care.

Dr. Samuel T. Beall was the force behind the vision of Free Clinic of Southwest Washington. He noticed the expansive gaps faced by low-income families and began a clinic for those who could not obtain essential health care services. Since then, the Free Clinic has grown substantially. Their facility thrives on the hard work of approximately 500 volunteers, who almost exclusively provide Free Clinics services. In fiscal year 2015-16, dedicated members of our community donated around 20,000 hours to help care for those who need medical care in Southwest Washington.

Today, Free Clinic is able to provide a myriad of services. This includes urgent medical care, immunizations for children and adults, prescription assistance, diabetes care, health screenings for glucose, cholesterol and blood pressure, urgent dental care for children and families, vision care, specialty care coordination, nutrition counseling, info on non-medical resources, and health access information. Through their efforts in these specific areas, Free Clinics was able to see nearly 7,000 patients in fiscal year 2015-16.
